Join us at Cottonwood Grille on Thursday, November 5 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.
Abstract: After Ransomware: Recover, Then Build a Posture That Doesn’t Let It Win Again.

Most business continuity and disaster recovery plans focus heavily on getting systems back online—but what happens during the 90 days after recovery is often overlooked. This session focuses on that critical period: when the immediate crisis has passed, but the organization is still dealing with the consequences of the failure.

We’ll examine what actually failed, what needs to be fixed first, and how to prioritize remediation based on business impact rather than assumptions. More importantly, we’ll explore how to validate that those fixes actually work. A successful tabletop exercise can demonstrate that a plan exists; it does not necessarily prove that the organization can execute that plan under real-world conditions.

This session takes a practical, post-incident approach to resilience: identify the gaps, prioritize the fixes, test the changes, and deliberately challenge the recovery process until it breaks—before the next real incident does. Attendees will leave with a framework for turning lessons learned into measurable improvements and using the 90 days after recovery to make the next failure less likely, less disruptive, and more survivable.

Please RSVP to ensure an accurate head count for lunch.
