Overview:
DNS attacks are becoming much more prevalent lately. This presentation is intended to introduce the DNS protocol and showcase the current attack surface of the DNS infrastructure. DNS was designed in the early 1980s and carries a number of security risks with its current implementation. Unfortunately, it is difficult to secure a protocol not designed for security. At the end of the presentation, mitigation strategies and best practices are discussed in an open forum.
We will cover the following topics:
– Overview of the DNS protocol
– Current DNS security landscape
– DNS security risks mitigation
We look forward to our September Face to Face meeting, one hour of CPE, and networking with you while learning more about DNS Attacks
Please RSVP to ensure an accurate head count for lunch.
